Kusu Island, one of the lesser-visited Southern Islands in Singapore, is steeped in folklore and home to an abundance of nature. Besides the idyllic beaches and tranquil scenery, its shoreline is also home to an exciting variety of marine creatures that are specially adapted to the changing tides.

Come explore picturesque Kusu Island with us and spot some beautiful corals, anemones and other intriguing sea critters. Get up-close to the marine secrets of the island and bring home some unforgettable memories!

What are Intertidal Zones?

Singapore’s shores are submerged most of the time. A few rare times a month, the water recedes far enough during low spring tide, exposing a part of the shore that is teeming with marine life. For a precious few hours, nature reveals its underwater secrets so that we can have an easy view of this rich intertidal zone. Note that it is important to go with someone experienced as the turning tides are dangerous.
