Step on board our beautiful wooden Chinese Junk boat! Let’s set sail towards the Southern Islands together with Samad and Puteh and discover the stories of the sea people who once inhabited the waters of Singapore.

In this Theatrical Tour, our local tour guides transform into Samad and Puteh – sea nomads who tell the stories of Singapore’s history from the past to the present, through theatrics and character roleplay. As seafaring groups, also known as people of the sea, they possess a deep connection to the sea and the life source it brings. Against the backdrop of the southern islands, listen to fascinating tales of love, life and resilience, and discover the sacrifices that the sea nomads had to make to adapt to a changing world.

Of course, this experiential boat tour is not complete without food. Excite your taste buds with sumptuous Malay dishes that highlight the rich bounties of the sea, such as Sotong Hitam and Ikan Asam Pedas.

The stage (or boat in this case) is set for an extraordinary journey to discover the stories of the nomadic sea gypsies!
